Lecturer biographies

Dr. Cekić is a dental expert specializing in implantology. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Zagreb, and completed his master's program in implantology at gIDE/UCLA in Los Angeles. As KOL for Bone Easy individualized solutions in Croatia, he focuses on improving the quality of life of patients with serious dental problems and dental phobia. Computer-guided implantology allows him to offer innovative solutions, such as the rehabilitation of the complete jaw using implants and the use of long pterygoid implants for the treatment of the atrophic upper part of the jaw. He works as a consultant and freelance doctor in numerous clinics throughout Croatia, which enables him to exchange knowledge and experience with his colleagues. He has been running a family practice for more than 20 years, maintaining the highest standards of dental care.

Dr. Zoran Ivasović graduated from the Dental Faculty of the University of Zagreb, and completed his specialization in oral surgery at the Dubrava and Zagreb Clinical Hospital. He attended significant trainings such as All-on-4 clinical residency (MALO CLINIC protocol), treatment of soft tissues on teeth and implants, peri-implant infections with Prof. Anton Skulean, as well as full jaw technique with transnasal, pterygoid and transsinus implants in Slovenia. He also attended the event Zygo day: live zygomatic surgery in Italy. He was declared the best surgeon in Croatia in 2012. He is currently the director of the Polyclinic iDENT.

Dr. Kravanja graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka as one of the best students of his generation. With more than 15 years of experience, he pays special attention to solving the most demanding cases of orofacial rehabilitation. His passion for implantology led him to obtain a master's degree in oral surgery/implantology at the Danube University in Austria, where he continued to train with eminent experts. He is a recognized associate of the brands Astra Tech, Neodent and Nobel Biocare, known for their top-quality implant systems. Thanks to numerous educations from the Nobel Biocare program, he is licensed for innovative All-On-4 systems and NeoArch jaw rehabilitation systems. He is a participant and lecturer at numerous training courses. He is the co-owner and co-founder of the Dental Medicine Center Orto-nova in Rijeka.

Dr. Manuel Mingione graduated in dentistry at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, with an experimental thesis on zygomatic implantology for the rehabilitation of oncological patients after resection of the upper jaw. Deeply dedicated to his profession, he obtained the title of Master of Science in Oral Surgery and Implantology. He attended numerous theoretical and practical courses and congresses around the world. He shares knowledge in the field of zygomatic implants and rehabilitation of complete jaws with current loading (nasal, transsinus, pterygoid and transnasal implants) as a lecturer and mentor at CadaverLab trainings. He is a lecturer at postgraduate studies in zygomatic implantology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, and in private practice in Italy he has treated over 500 cases of severe atrophy of the upper jaw.

Dr. Filippo Casotto graduated in dentistry at the University of Padua in 2010, with a thesis in ENT oncology that was published in the journal Journal of Oral Pathology and Medicine. He specialized in implantology, immediate loading and regenerative bone surgery at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, as well as in prosthetics at the AIOP school in Italy. He lectures at national and international conferences on graft-free surgery with a current burden and serves as a tutor for advanced practical surgical courses. He is the co-author of several works in implantology. He runs his dental clinic in Este (PD) and collaborates as a consultant for prosthetics and surgery in several clinics.

Dr. Costa Nicolopoulos graduated in dentistry from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1984 with the highest honors (cum laude). He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Gold Medal of the Dental Association of South Africa for outstanding academic achievement. Since 1991, he has fully devoted himself to private practice as a specialist in maxillofacial and oral surgery, focused on the immediate loading of dental implants, with over 50,000 implants installed so far. He is the main lecturer at numerous international congresses in implantology. In 2012, he founded a clinic Same Day Dental Implants in Dubai, recognized as the ZAGA Center and the Brånemark Center for Osseointegration.

Dr. Zoran Šušak, DDM, DDS, PhD has diplomas in dental medicine, dental surgery and a doctorate in maxillofacial surgery. He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Goce Delčev University in Štip, North Macedonia. He is an internationally recognized lecturer in the field of oral surgery and implantology, president of the Macedonian Association for Implantology at DDDMM and a delegate to the Assembly of the Dental Chamber of Macedonia. He is a KOL for Dentsply Sirona and an authorized lecturer for Straumann implant systems in North Macedonia. He actively practices oral surgery in his private practice Dentoria 1 in Ohrid and is the author of numerous scientific works.

Dr. Miguel Gonçalves da Moura graduated in clinical implantology, surgical techniques and restorative procedures at the Complutense University in Madrid, completed advanced surgery in regenerative implantology at the University of Szeged (Hungary), Master Clinician program at Loma Linda University/gIDE, as well as advanced training in zygomatic and pterygoid implants in Sao Paulo and Alicante (Spain). Privately practices peri-implantology and oral rehabilitation at the Visage Center in Portugal.

Dr. Fábio Guerra is a dental surgeon, master's degree and specialist in implantology, as well as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology. He coordinates specializations and advanced courses in implantology, is the author of chapters in books and scientific articles published internationally. He is the founder of FGPós Graduação – an institution dedicated to advanced dental education, which emphasizes moral and social values, patient and student safety, and excellence in oral health restoration.

Dr. Alex Torturella is a recognized Brazilian dentist and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in reconstructive and aesthetic procedures of the face and jaw. His expertise includes orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) treatment, dental implants and facial aesthetic medicine. Known for precision and innovative techniques, his practice in Rio de Janeiro is recognized for patient-centered care and modern technologies.

Dr. Muwaffaq Radeef Abdu Al Ghafoor Al-Ani is a consultant in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, UAE. Specialized in head and neck surgery, especially tumors and reconstructive procedures, he is known for complex operations that use advanced techniques such as neuromonitoring. He continues to provide exceptional care and innovative surgical solutions at Tawam Hospital.
